Benjamin Shore, Esq. — Founder, NJ OPRA Portal
NJ OPRA Portal was built by Benjamin Shore, Esq., a civil rights and public records attorney, to make New Jersey's Open Public Records Act usable by ordinary people without a lawyer.
Why the portal exists
Most OPRA requests fail for procedural reasons: the wrong agency, the wrong custodian email, or missing certification language. The portal removes those failure points by maintaining custodian contacts and automatically formatting every request to meet OPRA submission requirements.
Not legal advice
NJ OPRA Portal is an informational and filing tool. Using it does not create an attorney-client relationship, and nothing on the site is legal advice.
