Which agency holds the report

Crashes investigated by the Paterson Police Department are held by that department's records unit. Crashes on state highways or investigated by the New Jersey State Police are held by the responding State Police station, and some county-road crashes are held by the Passaic County Sheriff's Office.

Timing
