911 audio and Computer-Aided Dispatch logs are maintained by the county or municipal dispatch center. Both are government records under OPRA, though caller identifying information is often redacted.

• 911 call audio for the incident date and time
• CAD incident detail report and unit dispatch times
• Radio traffic recordings for the responding units

Act quickly

Dispatch audio is frequently purged on a short retention schedule — often 30 to 90 days. File the request as soon as possible after the incident.
